This is a project that as of now, only exists on Instagram. It is a collection of signs, almost all marquees and rearrangeable signs in Portland, OR. It grew out of my obsession with letters, and signs of all kinds -- from handpainted to neon to marquee. Many of these customizable sign marquees are arranged by average, everyday people -- putting out messages in the world that range from the banal to the bizarre, sometimes stupid, sometimes hilarious, sometimes poetic. I see these as a form of found poetry in ways, and the act of collecting photos of them feels like a creative act in and of itself. The Instagram account came from wanting a way to share these images, and seemed the most intuitive way to give these messages the wide audience they crave.  See more: @signfrom_
